2016 Lone Oak Pinot Noir (Magnum)

Our Lone Oak Pinot Noir – so named for the solitary oak tree overlooking its vines – is a blend of leading French clones of the variety grown in our estate Evan’s Ranch vineyard. Despite the provenance of the clones, and in contrast to our other Evan’s Ranch pinot noir, Las Brisas, Lone Oak is more Californian than Burgundian in style, with richer, riper fruit. It seduces with fresh, pure aromas of sweet black cherry, ripe strawberry, red plum and black raspberry nicely complemented by lovely sandalwood, rose hips tea and vanilla scents. Rich and concentrated on the palate, with delicious dark cherry, plum and blackberry flavors balanced by bright acidity and supple tannins, Lone Oak Pinot Noir culminates in a long, fruit-filled finish accented by savory spice, oak and mineral tones. Delightful on release, it will age beautifully in bottle for up to five years.

Enjoy!
